Dani Daniels began to consider working in porn after she dropped out of art school and was stripping to pay off her student loans. She overheard that it’s possible to be a girl-on-girl adult performer and was excited about the prospects of having more sex with women. She flew out to L.A., signed with OCModeling, and launched her career as an adult entertainer.

Daniels is very open about her bisexuality and only did girl/girl scenes with companies like Club 59/Elegant, Filly Films, Sweetheart Video, and Girlfriends Films before her first boy/girl scene with Elegant Angel around 2012.

In an interview for her website, Daniel revealed that though she had a “normal” childhood, she grew up with two moms, which she says some may consider abnormal. She told Adult DVD Talk that her parents have always been supportive of her work as an adult entertainer.

My mom is my biggest fan. She always calls me and tells me how proud she is of me and it’s the best! It makes me laugh because our country is so sheltered and afraid of sex, people are always like, ‘Wow, your mom supports it?’ And I always respond, ‘Well, yea, as long as I’m safe and happy, she doesn’t care what I do because she’s an intelligent, un-sheltered woman.’

Daniels revealed that she didn’t watch pornbefore she became a performer and still doesn’t really watch it. She definitely doesn’t watch or masturbate to her own scenes but told Adult DVD Talk that sometimes she’ll watch the non-sex parts to check out her acting skills.

According to Xtreme and XXX Bios, Daniels played softball, soccer, volleyball, track and field, football, tennis, and golf in high school. She said this was a parental order—the idea being that if she was busy playing sports, then she wouldn’t get pregnant. But it worked out because she loved sports anyway.
